How are you actually doing?
Not the “I’m fine, just busy!” version.
The version where you look at your business — you know, the one you’ve poured your heart, energy, and weekends into — and ask:
Is this still working for me?
Because if you’re anything like the women I work with (and let’s be honest, I’m just as guilty of this at times too), you’ve been sprinting through the first half of the year doing all the things...leading a team, refining offers, juggling systems, trying to scale. But maybe losing sight of what this was all supposed to feel like.
This is your moment to pause.
To take a breath.
To check back in with the CEO behind the brand: YOU.
Here are 5 honest, grounding questions to ask during your mid-year business check-in. Not just to evaluate how things are going, but to make sure your business is still supporting the life you’re trying to build.
Let’s start with the big one.
What you wanted in January might not be what you want now — and that’s totally okay!
We evolve. Our capacity shifts. Sometimes our vision expands; sometimes it gets clearer and more refined.
Take a minute to ask yourself:
→ Am I still serving the people I’m most passionate about?
→ Do my offers still excite me?
→ Am I making decisions out of alignment or out of obligation?
If something feels off, don’t panic. That’s not failure; it’s awareness. And awareness is the first step toward realignment.
Listen, I get it. You’re capable of a lot. But just because you can do it all doesn’t mean you should.
This is the question I ask clients all the time:
Where are you holding too tightly?
What would shift if you gave yourself permission to release just one thing?
Whether it’s inbox management, team onboarding, or trying to run a launch while also writing all your own content, it’s okay to hand it off. Actually, it’s more than okay. It’s necessary for long-term sustainability.
This season doesn’t need your hustle, it needs your leadership.
You know that feeling when you’re in a constant game of Slack-tag with your team? Or when you’re re-explaining the same SOP for the third time this month?
That’s not a people problem. That’s a systems problem.
If your backend feels messy, chaotic, or like it only works when you’re hovering over every detail… it’s time for an operational reset.
And if that sounds overwhelming? That’s literally where I come in. Helping female founders turn their backend chaos into calm is kind of my thing.
Let’s normalize this: simplification is growth.
Say it again with me… You don’t have to add more to move forward.
Sometimes the most powerful move you can make is pruning. Cutting the extras. Letting go of what no longer aligns, even if it once did. Because pruning is what makes room for new growth to emerge.
So… what’s felt heavy? What’s become more draining than life-giving? Pick one thing. Then simplify it, restructure it, or set it down entirely. You are allowed to build a business that breathes.
Not “what’s my revenue goal.” Not “how many launches do I need to plan.”
Let’s start here:
→ Do you want more peace?
→ More support?
→ More creative time?
→ More presence with your family?
Because those answers matter. They should inform your strategy. You started this business for freedom, remember?
Let’s not build something that takes more from you than it gives.
If you’re reading this and thinking, wow… I needed this more than I realized, you’re not alone. These are the questions I walk my clients through all the time, especially in my Vision-to-Execution Accelerator.
It’s not just about “getting organized.” It’s about building a business that supports you as the leader and the human behind the brand.
So if you’re ready for more breathing room, more structure, and way less chaos? Let’s talk!
Inquire here to get started.
This is your halfway point reminder: you don’t have to do it all. You just have to do what matters most.
